The Salina Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is open to high school age students who are interested in growing and sharing their faith with their peers.
The Salina CYO meets most Sundays during the school year, from 5:30 pm to 7:00pm, downstairs at St. Mary's Parish Hall. There are nights where speakers come and share their faith story, or life experience. Some meetings we have discussions to deepen our faith experience. We have several fun nights including: Halloween and Christmas parties, as well as theme-based parties. Every night we share stories about when/where God has touched our lives. We have our own youth Praise and Worship band. We end each meeting with night prayer from the liturgy of hours.
Every year Salina CYO participates in a service project.
The BIG Events for Salina CYO include: Diocesan CYO Convention, Prayer & Action, National Catholic Youth Conference, Retreats! We have several fundraisers throughout the year to help pay for some of the big trips. Some fund-raisers we do: Dillons Cards, Games at the River Festival, Bake Sales.
