Reconciliation unites us with a forgiving God. Through this sacrament we become reconciled with God, whom we have offended and bring healing to the Body of Christ, the Church.

Reconciliation is offered Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m. and other times by appointment with Fr. Michael.

Preparation for First Reconciliation (normally in 2nd grade) is through attendance at Parish Religious Education classes.

Additionally, there are a few Parish Communal Reconciliation services throughout the year. The dates and times of these events are announced in the bulletin and on the website home page.

Eucharist means "thanksgiving". It is through Eucharist that we receive the real presence, Jesus. We thank God for the gift of His son.  The parent meeting for 1st Communion for 2nd graders is TBA, in the parish hall, with 1st Communion for 2nd graders on TBA.

Confirmation is saying "Yes" to our baptismal promises. This sacrament makes us aware of the Holy Spirit present in our lives.   Confirmation Preparation Class Retreat is February 15, from 1-4pm, in the parish hall. Confirmation date is March 28.

Bishop Vincke, through prayer and consultation, has decided that as a Diocese we will proceed with the concept of the “restored order of the sacraments of initiation”.  Baptism will continue to be offered at infancy, Reconciliation will continue to be offered in 2nd grade, but Confirmation and First Communion will be offered in 3rd grade in one Rite/Celebration.  We will have four years to make the transition to the restored order.

The following is how we are planning to implement the Restored Order of the Sacraments of Initiation.

- (2025-2026) we will proceed as planned.

-First Reconciliation, First Communion will be offered in 2nd grade.

-Confirmation will be offered in 8th Grade.

- (2026-2027) first adjustments.

-First Reconciliation and First Communion will continue to be offered in 2nd             grade.

-Confirmation will be offered to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

-As has been the practice, Confirmation students will receive the sacrament in the parish where
              their family are registered members.

- (2027-2028) next phase of adjustments.

-First Reconciliation will be offered in 2nd grade.

-First Communion will be delayed until 3rd grade.

-Confirmation will be offered in 4th 5th and 6th grades.

-Again, Confirmation students will receive the sacrament in the parish where their family are
               registered members.

- (2028-2029) final phase of adjustments.

-First Reconciliation will be offered in 2nd grade.

-Confirmation will be offered in 3rd and 4th grade.

-At that same Mass, 3rd graders will also receive their First Communion.

This will complete the transition and from that time forward, the “restored order” will be in place.  Which means Baptism will be offered at infancy, First Reconciliation will be offered in 2nd grade, and Confirmation and First Communion will be offered in 3rd grade in one Rite/Celebration.

It is through ordination that the priest brings the sacraments alive in the church. This is especially so for Eucharist.

Marriage is a sacrament of commitment in which the couple promise a life of faithfulness. It symbolizes God's covenanted love for us, God's people. Engaged couples who anticipate marriage are to contact the Pastor six months in advance of the anticipated wedding. The couple will use this time to participate in required Marriage Preparation.

It is through the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick that petitions are raised to God for healing or preparation for death. If you will be having surgery, we invite you to receive this anointing after Mass on the Sunday before surgery.
