Over the past six months, the Building and Finance Committees have worked closely to evaluate several needed improvements and obtain multiple bids. That work includes replacing the Church HVAC system, testing and repairing the roof to address the leaks in the church that include above the organ and grand piano, recaulking upper church windows, and replacing basement windows. The estimated total is approximately $250,000. We are moving forward with these repairs using money from our Building Renovation Fund. We are grateful those resources are available, thanks to the generosity of parishioners who helped build that fund over a long period of time. Those gifts are allowing us to address these needs now. At the same time, this expense will significantly reduce the reserves available for future repairs and unexpected needs. In addition to the monthly Building Fund envelopes and any regular donations designated for the Building Fund, the coming months will offer several special ways to donate toward replenishing the Building Renovation Fund. Watch the bulletin for these opportunities. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton has a history of extraordinary generosity. The resources we are using today are evidence of that generosity. Now we have an opportunity to carry that care forward. As you consider this invitation, please take it to prayer. Consider what you are able to give and how God may be inviting you to respond. Each household’s circumstances are different, and we are grateful for whatever you can offer. Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and the many ways you care for our parish family.
